A Room for the Serious Performer

This two hour workshop meets once a week. This group will do everything from monologue work and scene study to masks and Shakespeare and everything in between!  We will go at the pace of the group. This is the perfect class for performers of all levels.

At the end of our session, selected performers will showcase their talents and progress at the local coffee shop, La Vie Boheme, for friends, family, and the community.  

As with any craft, the artist needs a room to work- a room to experiment, to perfect, to grow. It is easy to be at home and rework again and again vocal exercises or to repeat the various dance techniques and moves learned in class. For some reason, it is just harder for the actor. The Studio provides our performers with the room they need to hone their craft- a safe room to practice.

We will work on creating a monologue repertoire, so that the performer feels ready to audition for any play or musical. We will try and get over our fear of the dreaded monologue or at least be prepared enough to fake it.

 The Studio is designed to challenge and inspire students combining artisitc development and personal growth with conservatory level training. 

 Please bring a pencil, water, and clothes and shoes you can move in. 

TUITION $120 for 10- two hour sessions plus showcase.

For ages 7th grade and up. (As with all workshops, Miss Vic's Drama Room reserves the right to put you into the workshop we feel will best suit you. Age ranges are guidelines.)
